3 HEALTHY PERSPECTIVES FOR TIMES OF UNCERTAINTY

Someone asked me the other day how i maintained such an even keel during the Covid-19 pandemic. What were some of the strategies that you used in order to keep yourself relatively stress-free. This is pretty scary stuff, what allowed you to not get into a panic. I used the same approach I have used in other situations. Having a good plan for dealing with stress will work for most, if not all situations.

We know that sometimes emotions can play bully in our minds and make fear lord over us. While emotions are impossible to stop, we can prepare our mind to respond more favorably to uncertain situations. I have a saying that goes "Let your emotions fuel your decisions, not rule your decisions". In other words, work like crazy to avoid making decisions while stressed whenever possible. It is far better to respond to life with a calm present mind, an understanding that change is constant and having an open mind to new information that can bring a sense of certainty.

A STRESSED MIND DOES NOT SERVE YOU

A healthy perspective to have is that a stressed and or fearful mind does nothing for you. Stressing out is not ideal for clear thinking in any situation. Especially when it involves things we cannot control. When we calm down, we make better decisions and digest new information.
