I started to see so much hope in the comment given by Ariel Zaizar.

When I researched those who had lost everything, those that had failed and did not give up I found those that created some of the most successful companies, brands, discoveries, and even Disneyland. Yes, Mickey Mouse and Disneyland.

I started to get excited about the possibilities for our world, our collective global family. Though many of the events today surrounding the pandemic may resemble other times in history, we are sitting in a unique place, we have tools, technology, the awareness that is unlike those other events. If we can learn the lessons of the past we can come out of this united and strong.

Moving forward together, can we as a global family find a way to put aside our differences, our past hurts, our prejudices, our doubts? I believe we can. A very bold statement, yet I do believe it completely and without reservation. I ran on the platform that impact can take place worldwide because I believe in it that much and that was before COVID-19.

“People will realize what is worth going back to and what is worth leaving out from now on.

People will find peace in forgiving the past, seeing that tomorrow is not promised.

People will take the time to socialize and pay attention to one another- less on autopilot than before.

Extended families will be relieved of loneliness.
