in the intestines but I suggest you only ingest it for a short period at a time, as continued use may develop undesirable effects.

Aloe Vera is great for topical uses to treat conditions such as minor burns, psoriasis and osteoarthritis and burns and to help clear acne. It is an excellent antiseptic and anti inflammatory, it contains 19 essential amino-acids, which your body uses to structure the proteins that it needs.

Aloe Vera can be used on the skin and on the hair, it is a great hair conditioner. It can also be used in toothpaste and mouthwash for improving oral hygiene and reducing plaque as well as lowering levels of candida, and gingivitis.

There are several methods of preserving Aloe Vera gel.

1- Once you have blended the gel, you can freeze it in ice cube trays, and just take one out as needed.

2- For use in smoothies you can add honey to the gel in proportions of one to one and keep the mixture in the refrigerator or freeze it in ice cube trays.

3- To make a thick gel, use natural (vegetable) unflavored gelatin, flax seeds or pectin.

- Gelatin: Mix ½ cup gelatin to ½ cup warm water.

- Flax seeds: Boil 1 cup water, add 2 tablespoons of flax seeds, cook for 5 minutes. Cool and strain.

- Pectin: You can make your own from apple peels and cores or purchase apple pectin powder. Mix 1 cup pure water and 1 tablespoon pectin, add 2 tablespoons lemon juice.

4- For hand sanitizer you’ll want to add ½ teaspoon vitamin C and/or ¼ teaspoon vitamin E to 1 cup Aloe Vera gel.

Essential oils

A majority of them are antimicrobial and antifungal. They also contain alcohol, which enhances them with antibacterial and antiseptic properties, making them suitable for disinfection on your hands and around the house.

Warning; you will find online sources claiming that some oils are toxic to cats. I am not sure, as I have always had cats, but I am somewhat conservative in my use of household products. Do your own research.

Witch Hazel

Hamamelis virginiana) is anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, skin soothing and astringent (cleans the skin and constricts the pores). It is known for its ability to soothe sensitive skin and ease inflammation and may be beneficial against some viral infections.
