The Pandemic: To be employed or self-employed?

The uncertainty associated with recent events has forced many of us to revise our future plans. With government lockdowns imposed without our will, everyone has begun to think about the following: “Where is my place in life and what direction best suits me so that the next pandemic, new government restrictions or another “black swan” event won’t catch me by surprise?”

Mass layoffs, declined income, difficulties in finding new jobs — all are attributable to increasing stress. Ipso facto, one of the viable solutions for many seems to start their own

business, preferably online and of course in the most profitable niches. The entrepreneurial path

is truly independent, and does not rely on layoffs and bosses, however it is not as easy as it seems. A desire to work for one’s self is not enough, it is also necessary to understand the consequences of this decision, and to embrace the steps to move in this direction. Moreover, it is

equally important to develop a certain skill-set which may require extra-effort. Remember that this decision should be an informed decision that helps to see the bigger picture…
