Travel to Turkey is on the up in 2018 Turkey is bouncing back. Total visitor numbers to the country are projected to soar in 2018. According to ABTA’s latest Travel Trends Report 2018, the number of holidaymakers coming to Turkey from the UK alone is expected to increase by 69% this year. Tourism businesses are preparing for a comeback season like never before. Beds and flight seats are in high demand with more visitors returning to Turkey to experience its mythical history, hospitable culture, glistening beaches and secluded coves, rolling mountains, world class shopping and taste bud tantalizing cuisine. Located on a remote private beach in the southwest, the  Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme Resort & Spa  has reported a 195% increase in bookings for 2018, compared to this time last year, proving once again that Turkey is back on the holiday map. Just two years ago, Turkey was the sixth most-visited country in the world, ahead of the UK, attracting close to 42 million foreign visitors. After a challenging period, ABTA predicts that Turkey is set to be a top destination again  with many holidaymakers choosing the destination due to its great value and price as well as its warm hospitality and guaranteed sunshine in the summer months. A number of UK based tour operators are adding weekly flights to Turkish destinations such as Dalaman for the 2018 summer season, including new regional routes from Edinburgh and Manchester.
