PADI Discover Scuba – from classroom to reef in two hours
Many believe that to dive a reef, you need to spend days
training. However at Petit St. Vincent, it is possible in just a
couple of hours. After an in-depth training session from the
PADI Diving Instructors in the centre and then the shallows, it
is off to a nearby reef; here guests can dive up to 12 metres, with
an instructor by their side at all times. They can then continue
to dive throughout their holiday.
Yoga
Petit St. Vincent has two open-air yoga pavilions, one facing
Conch Bay overlooking the Atlantic and the other on the
leeward side facing Caribbean Beach. Both offer guests a
peaceful and scenic space to practice yoga, either on their own
or with the island’s instructor. Yoga mats and accessories are
also provided.
Spa
The island houses an incredible treetop spa, which is located
on a hillside overlooking the water, and has been designed to
blend into the island’s surroundings, constructed with local
wood and materials. Each of the four treatment rooms are
accessed via wooden steps/pathways that wind up the hill
and into the trees and has sliding louvered walls that can be
opened or closed during treatments, depending on the guest’s
preference.
Design
Originally designed in cooperation with Swedish architect
Arne Hasselqvist, who built many of the original homes on the
nearby island of Mustique, all 22 of the island’s cottages and
villas were constructed in the traditional West Indian style.
Walls are built of native bluebitch stone with traditional arched
doorways and peaked roofs, sliding glass doors open onto wide
decks and terraces offering unparalleled views.
