We are drawn into movie
three, very creatively named
Alien³, though they stylized
it into Alien³ (which totally
makes it worlds cooler, or
something), with a fire on board
the ship they’re in cryosleep
on. Somewhere, there are two
hatched Xeno-eggs visible
and a crewmember can be
seen having a facehugger for a
companion, as the ship ejects a
pod with them towards a planet
it’s passing by. It turns out to be
a prison-planet, full of criminals
with a history of physical and
sexual violence, who have
collectively gone monk. So
putting a woman in their midst
is a brilliant idea. They don’t
have any weapons, but they do
make things with lead. Newt

and the other survivor from the
last movie have died after all,
and Ripley insist they cut the
girl open to make sure she’s
not been impregnated by a
facehugger. She isn’t, but we’re
just in time to see a dog get that
kind of pregnancy instead.
The Xenomorph that is birthed
from that union is a lot larger
than those we’ve seen so far,
which makes total sense,
because the dog sure has a
bigger body than us humans
have... But, it is the first time we
see a Xenomorph adapting to
a different host than a human,
and it is the only Xenomorph
we get to see that walks on four

but the humans beat her to the
ship. Once in space, it turns
out she managed to catch a
ride and we enter a one on one
battle between the Queen and
Ripley in an exo-suit. The Queen
is tossed into space, and the few
survivors (including Newt) enter
cryo-sleep as they head back to
Earth. I feel I have to mention
that, since you see the Queen
float away, she’s probably still
floating somewhere and plotting
her revenge. I know I would.
Maybe she’ll get lucky and meet
the Xenomorph from the first
movie!
