uharraq lifted the 2013 Bahrain Super Cup.
The victors clinched the coveted trophy after beating a
resilient Busaiteen side 2-1 at the Khalifa Sports City Stadium in
Isa Town.
Rising young striker Hamad Al Dakheel supplied the winning goal late in the second half. Before this, veteran midfielder Sayed Mahmood Jalal had put Muharraq in front midway

Isa Ghaleb fired home an equaliser for Busaiteen to send the
match into the exciting finish.
After the contest, Bahrain Football Association vice-president for technical affairs Ali Al Buainain presented the Super
Cup to Muharraq and to both squads their respective medals.
Al Buainain also presented tokens of appreciation to match
sponsors Huawei, official partners Kuwait Finance House and
kit providers Baraka.
The Super Cup is the annual curtain-raiser to the domestic
football season in Bahrain.
Muharraq, coached by Tunisian Sameer bin Shammam,
earned their place as the winners of His Majesty the King’s
Cup last year, while Busaiteen, coached by Bahraini Tarek
