Recognizes an outstanding middle school teacher or a team of teachers who have made creative and exemplary use of the A World in Motion (AWIM) program to further develop students’ understanding and experience in mathematics, science, and engineering.
National Council of Jewish Women – Teller Teaching Credential Scholarship, Awards up to $2,000. Deadline is Nov 1. Supports K-12 educators pursuing a multiple or single subject teaching credential. *Both men and women can apply.*
American Chemical Society, Award up to $15,000. Deadline is Nov 1. Recognizes significant accomplishments by an individual who has stimulated or fostered the interest of women in chemistry and/or promoted their professional development as chemists or chemical engineers.
Pre-College Mathematics Research, Award is $6,000. Deadline is Nov 4. Supports classroom-based research in pre-college mathematics education conducted in collaboration with college or university mathematics educators.
NCTM – Connecting Mathematics to Other Subject Areas, Award is $4,000. Deadline is Nov 4. Creates senior high school classroom materials or lessons connecting mathematics to other fields. *Must be a NCTM member to apply.*
NCTM – PreK-6 Classroom Research Grant, Award is $6,000. Deadline is Nov 4. Supports and encourages classroom-based research in precollege mathematics education in collaboration with college and university mathematics educators. *Must be a NCTM member to apply.*
