When the bad ideas, the internet and the ignorance get together
In Colombia, children between 13 and 14 year old died after finishing these challenges. This shows the threat of the internet when people, just by writing, can induce others to suicide. In addition, considering the lack of supervision and information from parents, they allow that the children’s ignorance is attacked by bad ideas.
Finally, the internet, specifically the social pages, must be supervised by the government or some authority that controlling an appropriate contents . Also, to create a campaign of responsibility directly to the parents, they can supervise the visit pages of their kids.
The National and Los Andes Universities, the best of the country
The National University and Andes University continue being the best of Colombia, according to the last Saber Pro. (“Los Andes y la Nacional, las mejores en pruebas Saber Pro”, April 23, 2017). These universities are the best in the country and Latin America. It is a pride for their students, professors and workers, in special it is a pride for the country. For that reason, it is important to highlight the work of the two universities every year In spite of the variety of the Colombian education problems.
For nobody it is a secret that the education in the country has many problems. In spite of these problems the National and Los Andes Universities are the best every day and it is well news for the country. They are two very different universities but they have something in common as the quality of professors and students.
The National University is an example than the public education in Colombia is equal or better than private education. It reminds to the country that the investment in the public education is very important and that this shows its comes.
Why is technology being wrongly used? Instead of expanding the consciousness of people, especially the mind of the young ones, technology allowing that other people hurt the young ones. I saw that nobody are supervising the pages that children consult (CHILLING CHALLENGE What is the Blue Whale suicide challenge, is it now in the UK and what are police doing to stop it?, May 2). A game that challenges young ones to accomplish fifty tasks that finished with the suicide is an obvious example of this.
