I’ M SO GRATEFUL to be a part of The Michael J. Fox Foundation and its dynamic community— people living with Parkinson’ s, their loved ones, care partners and supporters. Since day one, it’ s been clear to me that your energy, support and grit motivate every aspect of our work. You are tireless in your efforts to end this disease, and your strength buoys us.
When Michael made it his mission to cure Parkinson’ s disease, he didn’ t just set a goal. He made a promise to every person living with Parkinson’ s, and to every person who might be diagnosed one day. There was an urgent need to transform the research landscape and create an innovative ecosystem that spurred progress. You committed alongside Michael, and we’ re now on the edge of realizing that promise: ending Parkison’ s.
We’ ve seen major advances in cancer, diabetes and heart disease— other devastating conditions that stall healthy aging. Many cancers are now preventable with early detection. Doctors can identify, treat and manage diabetes before its effects begin. And tools that measure blood pressure and cholesterol help stop the onset of heart disease.

and slow its progression. This is the first step toward a cure.
Research is moving faster thanks to the breakthroughs you’ ve made possible. And each future gift will create more breakthroughs. Research will give patients more treatment options to ease their symptoms. Research will find therapies to slow disease progression. And one day, research will give back to families what Parkinson’ s takes: their health.
The goal is set. The call to action is loud and clear. I know that our promise and answer, today and always, is yes: Here. Until Parkinson’ s isn’ t.
