Getting to know

Black Stag Flies by Mark and Kody

Quality hand tied fresh and salt water flies.

A quick interview of a fellow float tubers online business, fly tying.

Q: How long have you been fly fishing?

A: I started Fly Fishing in 2007 in Texas and have been hooked ever since. My first fly caught was a 27 in Redfish on my first fly I tied.

Q: What is the reason you started tying fly's?

A: The reason I started tying flies as a way to relieve stress, and because I like doing things with my own hands.

Q: Did you take any lesson or are you self taught?

A: Yes and it all started when I joined The Rockport Fly fishers in Rockport Texas and that is where I got my Training. I have recently started teaching myself how to tie small trout flies.

Q: What would you say would be need to get started in fly tying.

A: I would say to get started you should have a good tying vise, next a whip finish tool, and finally a good bobbin to hold your thread then just go for it.
