New Arrival CELTA at English Language Center , Taif University Dr. Fahmeeda Gulnaz I joined ELC at Taif University as an Assistant professor in August 2016. Prior to this, I taught at Jazan University for five years. I earned an MA followed by a PhD in English Linguistics in 2004 and 2014 respectively from National University of Modern Languages, Islamabad – Pakistan. Moreover, I hold relevant certifications from Cambridge University in addition to various publications in international research journals. My fields of interests are: action research, professional development, teacher training programs and teacher development. I taught variety of curricula in the field of ELT such as skillsbased and integrated-skills curricula, general & academic English, and ESP to medical, business management and computer science students. I worked as a member of different committees, like National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA), Council of Occupational Education (COE) and Exam evaluation committee (EEC). I worked as a coordinator at Jazan University from 2012 to 2015 at Community College for girls, Abu Arish. My principal responsibility was to supervise ESP courses. ELT was my first passion and now it is coupled with ELT management. Furthermore, I gave many presentations on ELT and also presented my research paper in the conference held in Dubai in February 2016. I am passionate about language teaching and have always been altruistic and empathetic to my students’ need as a teacher. CELTA is to start at English Language Center , Taif University from November 10, 2016. This program will provide a platform to the aspirant English language Instructor to become professionals in the field of Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Mid-Term Examination First Term (1437-1438 ELC The reading exam for the Humanities Stream in Tarbiyah and Faisaliyah will be administered for both male and female students on Sunday the 6th of November per the time to be specified in a detailed timetable which will be sent later. The reading exam for the Sciences Stream in Hawiyah for male and female students will be administered either on Sunday or Monday the 6th or the 7th of November. 10
