at optimum size; however, this year overall number of stands increased slightly and also attracted more exhibitors from further afield which was very encouraging. Some of the extra stand space was taken in the covered areas.

As for the show itself, they certainly have cracked it and the event is a firm date in the annual farming calendar. In fact this year- much to Richard’ s delight- was the best yet. The weather was a tad overcast at the start then brightened and

held for the day at a very mild 9 degrees!

This helped the crowd numbers which this year was around 10,000, the majority from across the north of England, but with some travelling from much further
