FOLLOWING A GREAT third show in 2016 Richard Tasker and his team were thinking “ Have we cracked it ? Is that about as good as we can get it ? Richard ’ s feeling is that for the size of York Auction Centre ’ s site , YAMS is about

at optimum size ; however , this year overall number of stands increased slightly and also attracted more exhibitors from further afield which was very encouraging . Some of the extra stand space was taken in the covered areas .

As for the show itself , they certainly have cracked it and the event is a firm date in the annual farming calendar . In fact this year - much to Richard ’ s delight - was the best yet . The weather was a tad overcast at the start then brightened and

held for the day at a very mild 9 degrees !

This helped the crowd numbers which this year was around 10,000 , the majority from across the north of England , but with some travelling from much further
