With this in mind, it is worth noting that 2015 marks both the 35th Anniversary of The National Trailer and Towing Association Ltd (NTTA) and the 15th year of its Quality Secured initiative. The National Trailer and Towing Association was founded in 1980 having evolved from the Association of Trailer Manufacturers into a wider, more modern and dynamic body. Today, the NTTA sets the standards for the towing industry, providing small, medium and large businesses with the strength and security of a well-established, reputable national organisation with impeccable credentials. The NTTA actively promotes the responsible use of light trailers and crucially, also very works hard to improve the skills and expertise of the drivers. It also provides trailer technician and towbar fitter accreditation schemes and increases the safe use of trailers by promoting their many benefits.
