NTTA: 35 YEARS OF QUALITY
IN TRAILERS & TOWING
Few farms and other agricultural and rural businesses could
manage without the regular use of trailers – of all kinds.
»»It is important to
recognise that trailers and
their drivers need to meet high
standards if they are to operate
safely, efficiently and legally.
With this in mind, it is worth
noting that 2015 marks both
the 35th Anniversary of The
National Trailer and Towing
Association Ltd (NTTA) and the
15th year of its Quality Secured
initiative.
The National Trailer and
Towing Association was
founded in 1980 having evolved
from the Association of Trailer
Manufacturers into a wider,
more modern and dynamic
body. Today, the NTTA sets
the standards for the towing
industry, providing small,
medium and large businesses
with the strength and security
of a well-established, reputable
national organisation with
impeccable credentials.
The NTTA actively promotes
the responsible use of light
trailers and crucially, also very
works hard to improve the skills
and expertise of the drivers. It
also provides trailer technician
and towbar fitter accreditation
schemes and increases the safe
use of trailers by promoting
their many benefits.
Last but not least, NTTA
also represents the industry at
national government and EC
levels.
• Giving small, medium
and large businesses
the added strength of a
national organisation.
• Promoting the responsible
use of light trailers.
• Improving the skills and
expertise of drivers.
