UK Dairy Day 2014
Red Ribbon sale coming up in September
»»Following the cattle show at the
second UK Dairy Day, later this year 30 of
the best dairy cattle in Britain will be offered
for sale at the Red Ribbon Sale, a joint
venture between UK Dairy Day and livestock
auctioneers, Harrison & Hetherington.
This multi-breed sale will take place
from 4.30pm on Wednesday 16 September
2015 at the International Centre in Telford
and will feature the best dairy animals in
the country, hand-picked, and specially
selected by Glyn Lucas, Senior Dairy
Auctioneer at Harrison & Hetherington.
Any breeder or owner wishing to enter an
animal for this event should contact Glyn
direct (see below).
Holstein UK is one Europe’s largest
independent breed societies, and their
event, UK Dairy Day, is a dedicated one day
dairy industry showcase. The event will
feature 200 trade stands, new learning and
development zone, seminars and external
demonstrations at a time when decisions
are being made for the winter.
Carl Smith, Show Director for UK Dairy Day:
“Following the success of our inaugural UK
Dairy Day in 2014 we wanted to continue to
develop the event by staging a world class
auction of the UK’s best dairy animals.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for
breeders to showcase their animals to
a National and International audience,
and this sale is without a doubt a logical
extension of the event.”
Glyn Lucas adds: “The Red Ribbon sale
is an exciting, new, elite dairy sale for UK
breeders to showcase their very best
animals. Enthusiasm for UK Dairy Day and
the Red Ribbon sale is massive and we
already have a number of amazing early
consignments that will attract worldwide
interest.”
Anyone wishing to consign to
the Red Ribbon Sale should
