The business originally got
under way with seven staff,
two butchers, a baker and a
café – but success breeds
success and the growth
of Rob Royd was rapid. In
2011, the new award-winning

restaurant was built complete
with its unique copper roof.
The decision to recruit
Michelin trained chef Kirk
Wade - who trained at the
famous Gidleigh Park in
Devon - and his Restaurant
/Business manager Dan
Beaumont proved a major step
forward and these two have
inspired and helped develop
