Russells
to miss - and in Nov 2015
Justin took over Boroughbridge
coming on board with a load of
ideas.
Initially, very little was
changed as Justin spent the
first few months listening to and
understanding the dynamics of
the branch and its staff. It was a
process of watching, learning,
discussing and assessing
his thought and ideas before
acting.
Consequently, he has made
a lot of minor changes where
needed but has retained all
those areas that were clearly
working well. The biggest
change has been bringing
the whole operation together
as a team - as all too often
sales, service and parts were
maybe not interacting and
complementing each other as
well as they could have. Each
department has its own targets
but collectively the Branch
has one single target – THE
CUSTOMER.
Justin has actively
encouraged feedback and
ideas from all the staff on the
business which has helped
the depot function as a team
and also contributed to the
feel-good factor for each
individual.
Every technician has
been on at least two training
courses and is bang up
to date with all the latest
product developments. Time
management has improved so
more time is spent on every job
in order to achieve the main
service target of “Right first
time”. Customer communication
has been improved so they
know exactly what is going
on and repair and service
deadlines and customer
expectations are managed
better.
The Boroughbridge depot
open day-relaunch saw the
whole place having had a
spring-clean from top to bottom
- and now looks like it was built
only last week.
During my visit, there was
a real, positive buzz from
both staff and the various
manufacturers teams who were
busy organising and manning
their stands.
There is no doubt that
Justin together with the whole
team have really moved
Boroughbridge a big step
forward and we wish him and
Russell’s a prosperous 2016.
