Other unusual examples include the manufacture of two beautiful brass candlesticks for Durham Cathedral, and assisting in the removal of two of the rides at Flamingo Land as well as work on new ones. It is clear to see that Cyril’s real enjoyment is taking a piece of steel and turning it into something fit for purpose. He is a hardworking Yorkshireman who thrives on a challenge and he hasn’t been beaten yet – not even by managing the complete refurbishment of his parents’ former farmhouse, despite being so busy.
