NEW KRAMER 5055e pulls

successful Great Yorkshire Show
thanks to their impressive array
of machines,a fantastic stand and
great hospitality.
Am undoubted star on the
stand was the all new 5055e, the
fully electric all-wheel-steering
5055e wheel loader from Kramer
with 80-volt technology
The Kramer 5055e is
emission-free and is well suited
for applications in which CO2
restrictions, soot limits, or noise
limits must be respected.
Due to the fully electric drive
system of the Kramer 5055e, it is
possible to perform fully emissionfree work indoors. Because of
the lack of emissions and the
extremely low noise level, both
the end user and the environment
are spared. The 5055e not only
scores here with its environmentfriendly aspects, but also with its
high economic efficiency. The
initially high overhead costs are
amortised through significantly

lower variable costs (e.g. fuel and
service costs).
The 5055e represents a
new class of vehicle – there are
currently no fully electric wheel
loaders of this size class on the
market. The goal is to meet
particular customer needs and to
offer a fully electric wheel loader
with the same performance
parameters. So the customer has
a choice — fully electric or diesel
drive system. Like the dieselpowered 5055, the new 5055e
is also delivered with a bucket
capacity of 0.55 cubic metres.
Performance parameters,
off-road capability and operating
comfort all correspond to the
features of a conventional Kramer
diesel wheel loader. Also when
it comes to the electric wheel
loader, Kramer places value on
coordinating the vehicle with
a great deal of power in the
loading system and a finely
metered drive system. One
electric motor is installed for the
drive system that provides a high

level of performance with good
resolution.
The second electric motor
regulates the work hydraulics.
Depending on the requirements
on the wheel loader and its
area of application, the power
is supplied by the respective
engine. This helps to regulate and
reduce the energy consumption.
The hydraulics of the 5055e
is comparable in performance
to that of a diesel-powered
machine. However, the hydraulic
performance is made available
tailored-to-suit via the second
electric motor with the 5055e. In
this way, the 5055e achieves a
higher degree of efficiency and
achieves a higher performance
with lower costs.
The lead-acid batteries, which
are time-tested and proven in the
forklift industry, are used with the
Kramer 5055e. Depending on the
area of application and utilisation
of the wheel loader, one battery
charge is enough for up to six
hours of work.
