The Prince’s Farm Resilience Programme was officially unveiled by PCF in July by the Prince’s Countryside Fund (PCF) and will begin recruiting farmers in September with workshops planned to run between December 2016 and March 2017 in locations across the UK. The new £1.5 million scheme aims to provide business support and oneto-one guidance to 300 hard-pressed farm businesses across the UK each year. Following on from the success of The Prince’s Dairy Initiative, the five year programme will help farm businesses, many of them family farms, deal with issues such as lack of business skills, development of benchmarking and succession planning. These are some of the issues revealed to be of concern in a PCF study.
