Black Grass was a problem here as with many farms, but Geoff was quickly on top of his and thankfully now it is sorted. GUARDIANS OF THE COUNTRYSIDE Geoff is of the opinion that the countryside is something special and should be preserved and consequently, farmers should always take this into account. He has planted a lot of hedges and woodland though many critics claimed at the time that he wouldn’t see the benefit. They were wrong: as we walked around the farm, much of the maturing woodland and hedge cover is what Geoff initially planted when he took the farm on.
