Australia once harvest is over.
They also have a daughter,
Emma who is studying Textiles
at Loughborough University.
Rosie has a far greater
involvement with Ryedale
Show than Johnny as she is
the chief horse steward.
Ryedale Show once again
attracted massive crowds
at Welburn Manor this year.
Between 150-200 acres of
the estate are used for what
provides one of the best show
sites in Yorkshire.
“It never ceases to amaze
me that there’s nothing here
at all until the week before the
show - and then this place is
totally transformed!” he smiled.
“That’s all done by volunteers,

whether they are young
farmers or anyone from the
local farming community.”
Johnny’s brother, Will
returned to the UK from
Australia two years ago where
he ran a successful haulage
company. He has entered into
