4 in 1 action for optimum regeneration
Following the wet Autumn and Winter , the KRM Carre Prairial is able to regenerate grassland pastures which have been waterlogged and have resulting surface compaction .

KRM PRAIRIAL
Michael Hills – Grassland Farmer – Sadberge nr Darlington
MICHAEL Hills runs a grassland farm at Sadberge near Darlington mainly providing livery for horses . The paddocks were in need of levelling and aerating after winter as well as his grassland destined for haylage or hay . Having looked at various machines at the Yorkshire show he booked a demonstration . The Prairial has knives in the front to loosen the surface , aggressive paddles follow behind to level and a harrow at the rear lifts the thatch to the surface .
Michael says “ I am really impressed with it . It has proved a great machine , it does everything and is very easy to use .
The levelling harrow at the rear makes a good job of leaving the dead grass and moss on the surface which then breaks down quickly and leaves a nice finish to the job “
The Prairial cuts through the poached ground and penetrates the soil surface to around 30mm giving a good loosening action which is then levelled perfectly by the paddles . Initially Michael used the Prairial on a 140 horse power tractor because he needed to work quite quickly ( around 12kph ) to have the best action on the field , however the Prairial has been subsequently used on a 105hp Case JXU which still does the job with ease .
