RC & PA Graham Future proofing & family diversity at Lazenby Moor Farm »»I recently had a very interesting lunchtime meeting with the Grahams at Lazenby Moor Farm, Knaresbrough. It had to be lunchtime as that is the only time this busy family get chance to draw breath. They start ‘em young here – the youngest addition to the family, George, the first son of John and Sarah, was running round the kitchen keen as mustard and loves nothing better than to go outside when he hears the sound of the Manitou! Robert and Anne Graham moved to the dairy farm back in 1988 and from then have steadily built it up, managing to purchase it in the early 2000’s, weathering the many challenges that the market constantly throws at dairy farmers. But despite this, it is a way of life, as Robert says and one which they enjoy. It was something he always wanted to do from his early days of working on a smallholding and collecting eggs while still at school. But as by a way of futureproofing it was suggested to sons John and Ben, it would be a good idea to broaden their knowledge and skill in farming DEDICATED TO DELIVERING A FIRST CLASS SERVICE Specialists in Accounting, Auditing and Taxation Services Whatever your needs, we can help For further information please contact: - the barker partnership are proud to be associated with R C & P A Graham of Knareborough & wish them continued success www.barkerpartnership.co.uk 70 Apr/May 2015 www.farmers-mart.co.uk Andrew Taylor Thirsk Office Tel: 01845 522045 Charles Gill Ripon Office Tel: 01765 603501 David Thomas Harroga Hٙ
