The family owns 80 acres
themselves with another 950
acres rented – 530 acres of
Wheat, 120 Oil seed Rape, 75

Spring beans and 175 of Barley
and the rest in grassland. Along
with 150 Beef cattle up to two
years old - mostly Simmental,
Charolais and Limousins - and
although they did come out of
dairy, Ian now has 12 suckler
cows that he will probably
increase to 20 in time.
