Breeds Cattle sales have now
been held three times – in
spring and autumn in 2013
and just a few weeks ago the
second spring sale took place.
He’s already looking forward
to yet another successful sale
in the autumn as breeders are
starting to take note that they
don’t have to travel to Carlisle
and the Borders in order to
buy or sell pedigree stock.

The 11th Spring Rare Breeds
Sale will have taken place by
the time you’re reading this
and the 28th Autumn Rare
Breeds Sale is scheduled over
two days in October (Friday
3 – Saturday 4). This has now
become so popular that entries
are encouraged as early as
possible.
Horse sales are run monthly
in the market’s purpose built
equestrian centre that includes
stabling for over 60 horses.
It is largely a sale for those
who have horses for pleasure
and around 100 are sold each
month.
