Tiptoe through the prairies with us as we talk about native wildflowers found in our own backyards and roadsides . We will look at the typical flowers , what flowers are beneficial to wildlife , and what are some invasive species causing issues . We ’ ll even have some native seeds to start your own native flower garden !

Natural Dye Workshop Saturday , July 13 , 10 a . m . W . S . Gibbs Memorial Park
Learn how to create your own natural dyes from plants and use them to dye shirts in this fun and eco-friendly program . You will discover the history and science of natural dyeing , and how to prepare and apply different types of dyes . You will also get to experiment with various techniques and patterns to create your own unique designs . By the end of the program , you will have a beautiful and colorful shirt that you can wear with pride or give as a gift .
