Natural Dye Workshop Saturday , June 15 , 10 a . m . McCloud Nature Park
Learn how to create your own natural dyes from plants and use them to dye shirts in this fun and eco-friendly program . You will discover the history and science of natural dyeing , and how to prepare and apply different types of dyes . You will also get to experiment with various techniques and patterns to create your own unique designs . By the end of the program , you will have a beautiful and colorful shirt that you can wear with pride or give as a gift . Are you interested in trying out family camping ? McCloud Nature Park is a great place to start ! Located close to home , it offers naturalist-led activities and a chance to relax or explore the prairie maze , park trails , or creek stomping . Don ’ t know how to start a campfire ? No worries , we ’ ll show you how and provide firewood and s ’ mores . Additionally , you can join the naturalists for a night hike and wake up to a continental breakfast .
Check-in time is from 2 p . m . to 4 p . m . on Saturday , and checkout is at 11 a . m . on Sunday . If you have any questions or need assistance with registration , please call the McCloud Nature Center at ( 765 ) 676-5437 .

Bicyclists , join Friends of the Vandalia Trail for biweekly rides along the Vandalia Trail , starting at the Amo trailhead ! These rides are held on the first , third and fifth Tuesdays of each month , beginning at 6:30 p . m . and last about two hours .
Enjoy the countryside and small towns while riding our paved Vandalia Trail to Coatesville and the Putnam County line ( 8 miles round trip , 16 miles for two round trips ) and occasionally part of the People Pathways ' packed-stone Vandalia Trail towards Fillmore , depending on the group .
Please note that riders participate at their own risk and minors must be accompanied by an adult responsible for them .
