Go GREEN

Spring , flowers ( BUD ), and the environment ! by Tara Holm , contributing writer

March brings attention to GREEN ! However , cannabis connoisseurs usually have green at the top of their list all year round . Green brings a sense of springs — new , fresh , and warm . But we can also get that feeling from fresh green bud ! Green , smelly , and ready to be fired up !

Ladies and Gents , this month , I want to talk to you about all things GREEN ! Spring , flowers ( BUD ), and the environment . Let ’ s bring attention to All Things GREEN !
Spring arrives on March 19 . We can feel it in the air . The days get longer , blooms start sprouting , and moods turn uplifting . Spring cleaning the house or car can be a huge mood boost and energy shifter . Live and drive in the type of environment that is calming and peaceful . Clear out chaos ! You will be surprised what will happen when you clean out that one corner of the room you ’ ve been meaning to get to for so long .
Little green trees , flower , and bud , too many aliases to mention . We all love some fresh green flower . With so many strains at dispensaries , it ’ s hard to keep up ! Here are some faves I ’ ve been hearing about out there in the wild .
● VIVID – Alien Mints
● CLOVR – White MAC
● LOCAL – Ice Cream Cake
With all the new strains and terpene profiles , make sure you write down how a strain made you feel and the effects . Find what works for you and why you want it .
Let ’ s go GREEN environmentally ! There are so many ways to recycle and take care of Mother Earth . You can do your part every day ! 1 . Always have a plastic bag with you . Pick up any trash you see — especially when walking the dog !
Release ! Get rid of what no longer brings you peace , joy , time , or money ! Donate whatever no longer serves you . And that means people too . Yes , I said it — beware of energy vampires .
Next , let ’ s plant something new . Literally . Plant vegetables , flowers , little green trees , or full-size trees in your yard . Help something grow every day . Go to your local nursery for spring deals on trees and plants . Always check the clearance section . Talk with neighbors and friends to see who has seeds or tools you might need . Delegate different plants for each member of the family or friends to grow and share . Big and small spaces can accommodate gardens to help feed you and your family . If you have a garden , place birdhouses around it . You ’ ll have free bug control for your veggies .
This spring , start your seedlings in old ( recycled ) plastic milk jugs . Cut the milk jug almost in half and poke holes in the bottom for drainage . Fill it with moist dirt and insert your seeds . Tape around the edge of the jug , making sure to leave the lid off . Set it outside in a sunny area , and watch your seedlings grow ! By May , they will be ready to plant ! When watering indoor plants , fill old milk jugs with water and leave them out for at least 24 hours to evaporate the chemicals .
