▲ Mayor Quinton Lucas spoke at the June 4th MoCannTrade meeting and expo in Kansas City , showing his support for Missouri ’ s cannabis . He has been an active supporter of equality regarding cannabis . Mayor Lucas joined The EVOLUTION Magazine ’ s live streaming Home Grow Series on July 9 , 2020 , to not only announce the celebratory news , of Kansas City officially removing marijuana from the city code of ordinances but also — to our shock –– he signed the initiative live on our show . Mayor Lucas has served as the 55th mayor of Kansas City since 2019 .
▲ Long before Branson , Hollister , MO , was known for “ bringing Taney County its first major influx of tourism with the first paved streets , electric lights , movie house , the first registered pharmacist , and modern steam-heated hotel . Now , Hollister has its first cannabis “ pharmacy ” as Flora Farms spreads its local roots with its Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ( in the photo above ) held on June 14 . In attendance for the cutting included Mark Hendren , Flora Farms president ; Chelsea Hawkins , general manager , Flora Farms ’ Hollister dispensary ; Cheryl Adair , CASA advocate supervisor ; John Hagey , executive director , Hollister Chamber of Commerce ; and James Gilbert , POW Network , among others . The Hollister dispensary off HWY 65 , located right behind the Angler ’ s Lodge , will be Flora Farms ’ sixth dispensary . It will feature online ordering , ample parking , and a drive-through .
▲ Some of Missouri ’ s manufacturing operations are in very rural areas , sometimes housing multiple brands under one roof , like Plume , Lake Water , Timeless , Flav , and Sprinkle in Humansville , MO . Although they compete in the same cannabis market , their camaraderie through sharing equipment , materials , and workspace makes these brands working together very unique MIPs .
