Variety for
The New Year

Medicinal cannabis has never lacked in variety , and here in Missouri , variety has quickly become a patient ’ s choice of options across the state . Doubledigit , high-quality strain choices have become the norm , with fantastic products coming from every corner of the Show Me state . From my perspective , watching the local dispensaries adapt to the tide of products being developed has been an interesting experience , as each dispensary has developed its own little way of doing things within the state regulations they ’ ve been given .
My latest visit was to High Profile Dispensary in Columbia , and along with a host of deli flower jars , binders for menus , and a hefty refrigerated supply of products , they ’ ve managed to hone an efficient , if ever-changing inventory system . We found a few great products stocking the shelves at High Profile .
I ’ m a disabled Navy veteran , and my shoulders always protest the colder weather months . Usually early in the morning ( and with a hefty cup of coffee ), cannabis has been my go-to for unlocking my joints and getting myself moving ever since I became an MMJ patient .
Concentrate
Slippery Susan Sugar concentrate , a wonderful hybrid strain from Happy Days — Vivid Cannabis , has been my go-to for those early morning hours . It has a rich , terpene-heavy flavor that lifts both your mood and the pain from your body . With cannabis concentrates , production quality is key at every stage , and Vivid nailed it with this one . It has a beautiful off-white color indicative of a superior starting product , with a smell to match . I also applaud Vivid ( and High Profile ) for coming in at a lower price point here as well — typically found at $ 55-60 versus the $ 70 and above of other comparable concentrates . Unfortunately , I could only grab a couple of grams because of its popularity ; it sells out quickly . However , as time
and production go on , all prices will eventually catch up , but seeing fluctuations happen in real time has been eye opening . Indica , THC : 74 % 1 gram $ 56 each .
Keef Drinks
Mohi Drinks ( non-alcoholic beer )
Classified as “ Edibles ,” drinks have been quite popular , and with some of the more avant-garde choices becoming available , Keef brand drinks have unveiled its caffeine and THC infused energy drink . Calling it Flo , I noticed that while it did do wonders to keep me limber and afloat during the day — the amount of sugar and caffeine kept me very jittery and overly awake as well . As with all “ Edibles ,” go slow until you find the best dosages for you . Retail for $ 12 to $ 35 per can , depending on 20 to 100 milligrams per can .
For later in the day , Mohi THC-infused non-alcoholic beers have been a favorite choice of mine . With a lower THC content , they are a great choice for those having a Valentine ’ s Day party and who wish to omit alcohol . Mohi offers a nice background feeling that doesn ’ t leave one overly medicated but just right . Produced by Phytos ( part of BeLeaf Medical ) teamed up with O ’ Fallon Brewery of St . Louis to create Mohi non-alcoholic , THC-infused , hand-crafted beer . It has just 80 calories per 12-ounce can and contains 5 milligrams of THC . The beer is produced in a similar way to O ’ Fallon ’ s other small-batch beers , but the alcohol is removed after the fermentation process , so Mohi retains that craft beer taste . A great NA beer that tastes as close to real beer as you can get . Furthermore , its flavor works very well with the terpene-heavy flavor of cannabis . Mohi Orange Daydream $ 8 each .
