is per container or package.( This does not apply to state-licensed dispensaries, which will be the only place to legally purchase stateregulated THC products.)
MoCannTrade recently purchased hemp products from gas stations and smoke shops across the state to test them and show that they need more regulation. In its October 2025“ Missouri Hemp Hoax Report,” MoCannTrade said independent testing found 53 of the 55 products purchased were actually intoxicating marijuana, well above the legal limit of THC. Third-party lab results also showed some of the products contained pesticides and heavy metals.
MoCannTrade Executive Director Andrew Mullins said,“ The unregulated products‘ hemp’ is akin to someone selling whiskey and calling it corn— everybody is using hemp as a cover to basically sell intoxicating drugs.”
It’ s important to remember that CBD products with less than 0.3 % THC are available and sold legally at reputable retailers. CBD is known to be very helpful for many people who don’ t do well with or prefer not to use THC. Use common sense: buy CBD products from reputable retailers and not gas stations, liquor stores, or convenience stores where you have no idea what’ s really in the product, no test results, or even a company name or country where the product was made.
Likewise, regarding all THC-related products, we want to remind everyone to only buy from state-licensed dispensaries and not buy intoxicating marijuana-like untested products from unlicensed, unregulated businesses such as gas stations, convenience stores, or liquor stores that sell these items. Always keep all marijuana products out of the reach of minors.
