first year in college riding the pine ( bench ) in the dugout , his facial scaring was a daily reminder of the accident and challenging his self-esteem entering his freshman year in college . Then , in a rush to get back to recovery , Jones suffered multiple rotator cuff injuries that would ultimately end his baseball aspirations and lead him to a road of opioid addiction .
“ This entire time , I was prescribed opioids and had built up quite an addiction . At the end of my prescription , they told me to take enough Advil to take away the pain . I took seven pills four times a day for about six months before my body started to show some serious issues . I was also drinking for the first time , and it was not a good combination ,” explained Jones . “ I was lucky to have the support of my family and one very great friend who saw me struggling with the pills and offered me an alternative solution . He gave me cannabis for a week at no cost to see how it would work . Three months later , I was completely off pills and only using cannabis . I did have to hide this from my family and the law since I was in Kansas .”
After finding the medicine that worked for him , Jones would go on to accomplish many things on his journey to the cannabis space , including :
● Sleepaway Camp in upstate New York for Jay Fieldler ’ s father , running a baseball program for kids 8-17 .
● Teaching Math and Physics in Staten Island through the SMART program ( Science and Math Alternative Route to Teaching ), where they would pay for your master ’ s in education from Pace University in Manhattan , but only if you had either a math or science degree — Jones had both .
● Coached baseball , basketball , and football to make side money .
● Sales Rep for Renewal by Anderson ( Note : His father just retired as the all-time historical best salesman for the entire company ).
“ Later , I opened my own window and door company with a “ friend ” and former Andersen employee ,” remembered Jones . “ We were supposed to be partners , and I grew his business from his garage and four employees to a brick-and-mortar store with four install teams , office staff , and a full sales team . It was evaluated at over 2.4 million when I had a customer leave a review saying I smelled of cannabis — my “ partner ” took the business due to a clause in the contract . He changed the name , but it ’ s still operating today .”
Although tragedy reared its head again , this last one would lead Jones into the cannabis industry .
Jones landed his first role in the ancillary cannabis industry as a sales rep for Integra . “ Integra Boost packs are sugar-based two-way humidity packs , which means that any airtight container can be kept at the proper humidity level for your cannabis flower , not allowing it to either dry out or to get too much moisture and mold ,” explained Jones . “ Since it ’ s a sugar-based solution , it will NOT off-gas and is compostable when finished . It allows farms and packaging teams alike not to have to worry about their products deteriorating while waiting to be consumed or even go through testing , and it ’ s safe for the environment .”
I was pretty shocked to learn the number of companies Jones represents in the cannabis space , but it doesn ’ t stop there . He is also involved in the cannabis media space , including being a Missouri Correspondent for Weed Talk News as well as being a host of Green Rush Life episodes . Plus , he works doing the planning and managing of event sales and promotions .
Wait , there is more !
Since first starting with Integra , Jones has not only become the only distributor in Missouri and one of the few master distributors in the country , but he also launched his newest Kansas City-based LLC called BGreen Distribution , which now represents about 1,000 SKUs of other companies ’ products in the ancillary cannabis space . If that wasn ’ t enough , Jones also became the head of Kansas City sales for Missouri Wellness , a cannabis manufacturer in Missouri , applying his talents to both sides of the cannabis industry .
Brandon Jones , owner of BGreen Distribution
Most recently , Jones was also given an opportunity to consult for various cannabis brands and has been approached by Method Man ’ s cannabis brand , TICAL , to help expand their footprint !
There are no questions his “ Work Ethic ” is beyond solid — regardless of his cannabis consumption .
PSA : This is Jones …. This is Jones ’ brain on weed … Any Questions ?
