Within the framework of this organization one will help advance the quality of human life, promote self-development, and help others to become the best version of themselves. Although by becoming a member of the Ethical Society, one will belong to a community, but will not lose his of her individuality. Members are given general guidelines regarding the ideals of the society; however, individuals are welcome and are encouraged to formulate their own interpretations.
One is given as much freedom as they want. It does not matter if one does not enjoy the rigid and mandatory trips to an institution on Sunday mornings or does not think he or she needs a leader for guidance? The Ethical Society does not force its members to attend to the meetings. Again, it is the actions that count.
Adding to the long list of attractive features of the Ethical Community, there is another notable aspect of being a member. As opposed to many other communists whose mission is to recruit new members, according to the principles of the Ethical
Culture, converting others is not necessary; therefore, it is not expected.
