Disability Services
Offers a wide range of services and accommodations to assist students in reaching their educational goals . The Disability Services staff will help guide students through their educational experience at NWTC by providing case management and support services .
L ( earning ) Power
L ( earning ) Power is a 3-year , grant NWTC received from the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation . L ( earning ) Power will provide personal supports and aim to reduce financial barriers for up to 60 lowincome Black , Indigenous and other People of Color ( BIPOC ) in NWTC ’ s Trades & Engineering Technologies and College of Business programs , helping students reach their postsecondary education goals .
Through this grant / project , L ( earning ) Power participants enrolled in a high-wage Trades & Engineering and College of Business program will be eligible for a microgrant based on credit load and meeting specific requirements . To be eligible , Black , Indigenous , and other People of Color will have a demonstrated financial need , develop a College Success Plan within the first semester , maintain academic eligibility , and meet with staff to discuss additional resources , involvement opportunities across the college , etc .
Next One Up
Next One Up is a program designed for incoming students from ethnically diverse backgrounds , who are enrolled in programs within the College of Business . The program is intentionally structured to help align with additional strategic goals – increasing the persistence of our diverse population and making sure all students have a career , academic and financial plan .
The program provides holistic academic and resource support to improve student retention and completion rates among students of color through involvement and belonging .
Talent & Culture has also dedicated one Multicultural Intern position each year to provide support and work direction with the program .
Student Involvement
Offers a wide array of co-curricular student experiences by means of events and activities , culture and ethnic clubs , international programming , leadership opportunities , health and wellness , and much more .
