BorgWarner turbos to boost new efficient diesel truck engines

Along with its most advanced truck turbo, BorgWarner will supply an exhaust gas recirculation system to keep engine emissions legal
n Technology that allows engines to operate within tighter and more stringent rules and restrictions should be celebrated. BorgWarner, which has been involved in the automotive sector since 1928, has secured the contract to supply a major European commercial vehicle manufacturer to ensure its engines comply with strict Euro 7 standards.
BorgWarner will provide variable turbine geometry turbos and an exhaust gas recirculation system to the unnamed manufacturer for its six-cylinder heavyduty diesel engines. BorgWarner’ s components have been developed in conjunction with the partner OEM and will help the engines in long-haul trucking applications and improve engine efficiency,

BorgWarner was formed after Borg & Beck, Marvel Carburetor, Mechanics Universal Joint and Warner Gear merged and began supplying clutches, carburettors, universal joints and transmissions. In 1998, it acquired the German turbocharger manufacturer, Kühnle, Kopp & Kausch, and began producing turbos under the brand, 3K-Warner Turbosystems GmbH. It expanded turbo manufacturing after acquiring Schwitzer, a manufacturer of diesel commercial engine turbochargers.
