Fluidampr performance crankshaft damper for Nissan SR20

n We all know the benefits of a well-balanced engine, especially the use of a good crankshaft damper that can reduce destructive crankshaft torsional vibration. USAbased Fluidampr, which specialises in viscous dampers, has developed a crankshaft damper for Nissan’ s SR20 four-cylinder engine found

in 200SXs and Silvias. In testing, the new damper showed a 12 % average reduction of crankshaft torsional vibration across the engine’ s RPM range compared to a new old stock elastomer damper.

Like all of its dampers, Fluidampr’ s SR20 unit is designed to last the lifetime of the engine, with no rebuild or tuning required. It also comes zinc-coated in black and is laser-engraved with its SFI 18.1 credentials.
