Got VIP?

We have many “Very Important Peo-ple” in our worlds. I think about my family and friends who are always there for me. Maybe your VIP is your mom or sister. Maybe it's your bet friend, a classmate, or someone in Rainbow with you. Have you thought about who’s a VIP in your assembly?

Last summer, GWA Hailey and I travelled to Yakima, Washington, and attended Washington-Idaho Grand Assembly. They have started a new “VIP” program. Who do you think are their VIPs? There are many important people that keep our assemblies going: your mother advisors, board members, parents, and the active members who volunteer and attend every meeting or service project. Everyone in your assebmty is very important. Washington-Idaho's VIPs were none other than their Pledges!

As we work to grow the member-ship of Rainbow, we also need to think about our prospects and pledges. Several Montana Assemblies are already working on developing Pledge Programs and including these up-and-coming Rainbow Girls in their Assemblies' activities. How can each of us make every new girl feel welcome and included?

As you reflect on what makes Rainbow special for you, I hope that you also think about what it was like to be a new member and that older girl or adult who made you feel like a VIP. I am excited to hear what each Assemby is doing to include our Montana VIPs: our Pledges and Prospects!
