Garden City No. 55

14

Greetings from Garden City!

The summer flew by quickly after Grand Assembly. We were delighted to get to bring a new member home when we returned to Missoula. Congratulations to Haley Chabotte on joining our assembly! She’s been hanging out with the Rainbow Girls since her mom, Jennifer (a board member and Eastern Star), started bringing her to meetings as a baby! The Grand Officers did a wonderful job and made some great memories for Haley and her fellow candidates.

Our Home Assembly took some time off following Grand. Then in August, we once again worked the fair booth, selling a lot of corn on the cob, sausages, and too many bottles of water to count!

We have many things planned for this fall including an Installation of Officers. For many of our girls, this will be their first! We also plan on baking pies at the Ronald McDonald House. Last year, we took over the Masonic Temple kitchen for a day and

made about fifteen pies, some apple and some pumpkin. We then took the pies to the Ronald McDonald House where they were promptly enjoyed by those staying there. The girls had a blast learning how to bake pies while brightening the House’s home-away-from-home atmosphere and are excited to repeat this service project!

We’re looking forward to a busy fall and seeing our Rainbow friends at Fall Fling!
