Hello Montana Rainbow!
I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday season. Over the past couple months I have had a terrific time. During Fall Fling, we got to make Modge Podge coin collecting jars for The Play Ground Project and they all looked beautiful. Each assembly took at least one home with them to put up at a local business or their temple. I also had a wonderful time with the scavenger hunt, “Along the Silk Road. “ It was so creative! We also had a lot of laughs when we had to scoot across the floor to make ice cream in jars! I would like to say thank you to everyone who attended Fall Fling, filling it with laughter and joy.
I was also delighted to attend conclave for DeMolay. I had a terrific time with some Jobs Daughters from Bozeman who took me in as one of their own. I got to meet the new Master Councilor who just so happens to be attending school at the University of Montana. I had a great time at the dance with all my new friends and I can’t wait to see everyone again at Sweet Retreat. I encourage all my Rainbow sisters to come and join in the fun.
I was also able to go to a meeting with the Play Ground Project planning committee and they were all very excited about the jars and working with the Rainbow Girls. I was able to meet some of the families this park would affect and they are so excited for this project to become a reality! There are a lot of great volunteers that are working to make this dream come true and I am glad that we all get to be a part of it. This playground is going to change the lives of lots of families!
Change is a powerful thing and we, as Rainbow Girls, can change the world. We can change it in small ways and grand ways. It could be something small like lending out a helping hand, or donating some change, or it can be something larger, such as helping out with a community build or donating a large amount of time to a project. Through our service and friendship, we as a whole can make the world around us a better place. Every rainbow girl can help out a fellow sister and maybe even change her day. The smallest act can change a person’s life. The change we are collecting from the coin jars may not seem a lot by its self, but together it adds up and it makes a huge difference! Remember, every girl (yes, even you!) can make a difference!
