Egypt in Peril

Smiles spread across the faces of loved ones as they get ready to celebrate the yet to be new marriage. There is a low murmur of speech from relatives and friends who talk among each other. Excitement fills the air and people wait outside of the church as the warm October breeze runs by them.

Suddenly the smiles turn into shocked expressions and screams are heard all over the town. Masked faces drive by with automatic weapons that shower the party with bullets. Blood stains splatter the church doors and the mood has changed in a matter of seconds from happy to completely terrified.

"It's God's will. They are always beating us down. Every other day now, they do this, " Fahm Azer Aboud says. Seventy-five year old Aboud had been waiting outside for one of his grand daughter's wedding to begin. Islamic terrorists had driven by and killed two of his other grand daughters, his son, and his sister-in-law. (Fox News, 2013)

This is one of the many attacks on Christians in Egypt. There has always been a problem between the Muslims and Christians in Egypt, but recently it has gotten worse once again. Ever since Mohammed Morsi was removed by the military, the attacks on Christians have increased. Morsi and his supporters are Islamic, the main religion in Egypt. Only about ten percent of Egypt's population is Christian, out of ninety million. (Bohn, L.E., 2013)

Mohammed Morsi was part of the Muslim Brotherhood. The Muslim Brotherhood is a very violent Islamic terrorist group that goes to extreme measures, including suicide car bombs. Morsi's supporters are also part of the Brotherhood, so they
