Freeman Elementary Aerial
Garland ISD’ s 2023 Bond Program continues to make progress across the district as projects move from planning and construction to completion. From new schools and modernized learning spaces to enhanced safety, updated technology, improved athletic facilities, and campus renovations, the bond program is creating learning environments that will support student learning for years to come.
As students return this fall, they will begin to see the results of bond-funded improvements across Garland ISD, with more projects completed throughout the school year. New Multi-Program Activity Centers( MACs) and fieldhouses will open as construction finishes, providing new spaces for athletics, fine arts, and student activities. Renovated auditoriums, main entrances, and administrative suites at Lakeview Centennial and Naaman Forest are among the many campus improvements. Districtwide safety enhancements include forced-entry-resistant window film, upgraded outdoor security cameras, and perimeter fencing. Students in middle and high school are receiving new Chromebooks, while teachers and staff are receiving new laptops.
