Hours:

Monday-Sunday 5:30am-10:30pm

The atmosphere was nice and welcoming. The staff were extremely friendly, and the patrons here seemed kind hearted, but mostly kept to themselves.

Audience- Mostly middle to older aged people, but there was a wide spread that included all demographics.

Air flow- Air flow is really good. There were no major “hot” spots or anything, although the sun could throw you some serious heat through the windows if you came at the right time.

Business level- When I went, the business level was pretty manageable. It’s supposed to be the busiest on weeknights and weekends, but this facility offers a plethora of recreation areas (pool, track, gymnasium, etc), so it’s hard to say for certain just how busy the fitness centre portion would be.

Lighting- Lighting is really good! There are several windows on all sides of the facility, as well as excellent overhead lighting.

Music- Unlike the other City of Edmonton recreation centres I’d been to before, this facility had music playing. However, it was music you’d expect to find on a “Feel Good Songs from the 80’s” play list. Not

exactly ideal workout music in my opinion, but maybe it is to the primary clientele they have.

Televisions- None.

Staff- Staff were very friendly. I forgot my belt, and the lady behind the desk was happy to help out.

Overall comfort- I felt quite comfortable here. I’m not really sure why, but I feel like the purple flooring contributed to this. Would definitely recommend this facility to others!
