How to Prepare for the IB this Coming Summer

As another school year comes to a close and summer is welcomed with open arms, another batch of fresh IB students are to be welcomed to the rigorous program.

To all of you tenth graders out there nervous about what school has to offer following your 3-month vacation: do not stress. Summer vacation is a holiday; a break from school, where students can relax after a difficult and tiresome academic year, without being restricted by time or school.

In the summer vacation we aim to achieve many things. A student’s summer to-do list may go something like: hang out with friends, going to the gym, reading the Harry Potter books, learning how to cook, doing some volunteer work, find an internship, preparing for school … Most of us have a countless list of the things we want to do in the summer. Yet, in most cases we end up wasting our time and only completing ten percent of that list.

However, the IB program is a very challenging system that requires your full dedication and effort, but it is also a system that needs you to not crack and to prepare a lot and prepare well. Once you crack there is no going back. Here are a few tips that you might need to heed during the summer vacation that will help you face the IB with no fear whatsoever:
