Hudson Falls, Queensbury, Greenwich, Lake George, Salem and Glens Falls all had teams participating in the competition. Salem finished the tournament with a 5-0 record. This is only the third year Salem has participated in the NYS Bar Association’s Mock Trial Competition. The fourteen member team has worked extremely hard with their attorney advisor Don McPhee to prepare for this year’s competition. Parker McPhee, Amanda Davis, Amelia Trybendis and Nick Holmes have been awarded Best Trial Advocate, and Laken Gregg and Remi LeBlanc both received Best Trial Witness awards during the local rounds held at the Warren County Courthouse. The team will compete in the Regional III competition along with the winners of seven other counties in Albany on Saturday, April 25th. Team members include defense attorneys: Parker McPhee, Amelia Trybendis, Caroline McKeighan; defense witnesses: Shayla Pratt, Wilson Padgett, Rob Skelly; prosecution attorneys: Nicholas Holmes, Blake Georgeson, Amanda Davis; prosecution witnesses: Laken Gregg, Hannah Falk, Remi LeBlanc; time keepers: Luke Fronhofer and Tessa Georgeson; school advisor: Vicki Perkins, and attorney advisor: Don McPhee.
