Saul nodded and spoke to his son. “Yoel, b’ brave nd f’llow meh!!!” Eliyahu kicked the guard in his stomach, who fell to the ground with a thud. Then he grabbed the fallen guard’s gun and fired at the other guards.. “RUN!!” he bellowed at Yoel and Saul, starting towards the fence in the distance. Even though he ran as fast as he possible could master, little Yoel couldn’t keep up with the full grown men, and started falling behind. Saul was forced to carry him towards the fence, which slowed them down further. The guards were coming closer. They heard gunshots and Eliyahu felt a bullet flying past him, barely missing his head. All they had to do now was get over the fence. “Save him, please! I can’t carry him over the fence!” Saul said desperately. Eliyahu took Yoel in his arms and began to climb the fence, Saul right behind them. They were almost at the top when the guards caught up with them, and they heard a loud bang followed by a dull thud..´ Eliyahu looked down and saw that the bullet had hit its target. Saul was lying on the ground, blood running from a wound in his head. With Yoel crying on his shoulder, Eliyahu jumped over the fence and ran, ran, ran. “Did I win the competition Elihauhu?” e Twinning 2016 78
