“THAT’S ENOUGH!!” The guard yelled, his jaw clenched.
“YOU’RE COMING WITH ME, YOU FOOLISH MAN!
YOU’RE GONNA TAKE A SHOWER!!!”
The guard grabbed Eliyahu by the arm and, with
the help of several other guards, began dragging Eliyahu
forwards. He didn’t struggle against the firm grip. His
brain was working frantically. Where were they taking
him? He wasn’t that dirty was he? Or he had at least seen
a lot of people that were clearly more filthy than him…
And the bodies? They were blackened and
unrecognizable, like they’d been burnt. The guard had
said that “if he kept up his behavior, then might be able
to join the dead bodies…”. Suddenly he felt the smell of
smoke and realised three things. 1. Taking a shower
meant death. 2. He was going to die. 3. He had to escape.
He stood in a long line and saw Saul and his son
Yoel, smiling happily. He had to warn them “We are not
going to shower, they’re going to kill us now.”, he
whispered to Saul.
But I know a way we can get out of here. Just take your
son and follow me. Saul nodded and grabbed Eliyahu by
the arm “If I don’t mak’it… Promi’s ye’ll take care o’ my
lil’boy. “I promise”
