The CDI was formed with a clear mission: to promote diversity and inclusion in the Sarasota legal community through outreach, education, and collaboration to ensure that the SCBA remains a welcoming place for all practitioners and community members. The World Inclusion Day Volunteer Fair is an extension of that mission, reaffirming that diversity and inclusion are not standalone efforts, but guiding values that shape every aspect of legal practice.
Attorneys who participate in pro bono work often find that the experience enhances not only their professional development but also their personal sense of purpose. Whether they’ re offering litigation assistance, advising nonprofits on corporate governance, or helping families navigate custody issues, pro bono volunteers witness firsthand how their skills can be life changing.

The Young Lawyer’ s Division warmly encourages Sarasota’ s up-andcoming young attorneys to attend the World Inclusion Day Volunteer Fair. Attorneys will be able to browse participating organizations, learn about their work, and express interest in getting involved on a short-term or long-term basis. Nonprofits will be given space to present their mission, highlight their legal service needs, and connect with potential volunteer attorneys.
