Michael Hric
A . Lamar Matthews , Jr .
Michael held licensure as a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Indiana and Florida and was also Board Certified in taxation law by the Florida Bar Association . He practiced primarily in the areas of estate planning and probate , business planning , entity formation , organization and structuring , preservation of wealth , and taxation law . Prior to his relocation to Sarasota , Florida in 1979 , he practiced both accounting with an international accounting firm , and law in Chicago , Illinois . He also served as a lecturer / instructor at Purdue University and several venues in Florida .
Lamar was a widely-respected litigator . In 1991 , he founded Matthews , Hutton , and Eastmoore Attorneys at Law ( now known as Eastmoore , Crauwels , and DuBose ). He led the Young Lawyers Section and later served on both the Board of Governors and the Board of Bar Examiners for the Florida Bar . In 2014 , he was selected as one of 10 “ Legal Legends ” among lawyers and judges in Sarasota by the 12th Judicial Circuit Judges . He joyfully mentored and supported women and other minoritized groups to leadership positions in law and leveraged his influence to advocate for equity , justice , and positive change .
